A Capital City of Street Art
There are many things that Berlin is good at, and two of those things I have recorded in this post. The first is alluded to in the title, street art, because Berlin is indeed a capital city of street art, and the second is zoos. Berlin has two large zoos, Tierpark in the East, and Berlin Zoo, which is across the Landwehr Canal from the Tiergarten, in the West. We visited the Berlin Zoo, and it was actually one of the best zoos I have ever been to.
Interspersed between these two poles of visual documentation are shots I took around Friedrichshain, Kreutzberg, Prenzlauer Berg, and others. Of particular note is the Teledisko, the world's smallest disco (which is really a repurposed phone booth) that doubles as a photo kiosk. Once you pay and enter, the party gets started. The only problem is the fog machine that pours into that box is so thick the party turns into a game to see how long you can hold your breath. It wasn't long, and the photos taken in the both turned out to be entirely of us walking out the door.
And one last thing, I apologize for the large mass of (perhaps repetitive) elephants. But make no mistake, elephants are amazingly awesome and a sight to behold. Please enjoy.
