Autumn in Oregon

Here is another album from Oregon, taken during our annual trip down to the coast. Walking those beaches has become such a part of how I enter into fall and the darker months of the year, I don't know what I would do without it. The peace of mind it brings has become almost like a ritual.

This season's trip includes a series of abstract macro shots from along the shore (probably more than usual, I was struck by many new sights on this trip), and a visit to a local natural formation known as Devil's Punchbowl. Gibson and I made a special trip there right at low tide so we could enter the punchbowl from below. Evidently the floor of the punchbowl is only accessible for about half an hour, and the beach to get below the rim is a bit of a hike from the parking lot. But we made it in time and were rewarded with amazing views, as you can see!
